Nepal Jungle Safari.
There are several National Parks in Nepal of which following are popular jungle safaris with good tourist infrastructure.
Royal Chitwan National Park
Bardia National Park
Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve
Jungle safari in Nepal includes activities like jungle drive, elephant ride, nature walk, boat ride, animal observation etc. There are jungle lodges inside the park with good accommodation and restaurant facilities. All of the above three National Parks lie in the sub-tropical region with Sal forest, a slow growing hardwood species. Lower areas are either swamps or grasslands, where some grass species like elephant grass grow to be more than 10 ft tall. You can enjoy elephant ride through these grasses and spot Asiatic rhino, royal Bengal tiger, leopard, spotted deer, hog deer, sambar, wild boar, sloth bear, reptiles, and many species of birds and pheasants. At Royal Chitwan National Park alone, there are 300 visitor and resident bird species. This Park is said to be one of the best-managed National Parks in Asia.
Cultural Tour, Sightseeing.
I conduct cultural tours/sight seeing to cities like Pokhara, Tansen, Lumbini (birth place of Lord Buddha), Bhaktapur, Patan, Kathmandu, and other destinations of tourist interest. I invariably use private car/jeep/coach for transportation and provide you with five star or best available hotel in town.
Kathmandu Valley tour. (Yambu)
Nepal unfolds an authentic picture of ancient culture, art, paintings, woodcarvings and age old architecture. Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan are the core cities which are unconditionally famous for its historical monuments, palaces and timeless traditions and culture. Kathmandu valley is the heart of the urban civilization where you find an amalgam of customs, religion, conventions and myths. Its artistic temples arouse the aesthetic pleasure within us. The valley has an advantage of seven World Cultural Heritage sites.
Patan ( Herang)
It is one of the oldest cities which exhibit the finest example of medieval art and architecture. The artisans are known for their exquisite creation of artifacts, shrines and palaces; an atmosphere that reminds you of the middle ages itself!
Kathmandu Durbar Square
Kathmandu Durbar Square is chockablock with ancient palaces, temples and courtyards. Hanuman dhoka is a protected heritage site while the temple of the living goddess (Kumari) and Taleja temple are worth visiting.
Swayambhu Stupa ( Singkon)
Swayambhu stupa, also known as the ‘monkey temple’ prides to be one of the oldest stupas of the world which is around 2000 years old. This heavenly Buddhist dome perches quietly at an altitude of 77 m above the valley and it is surrounded by 13 gilded rings and lavish canopy.
Pashupatinath
It is the most celebrated Hindu temple, believed to be the oracle of lord Shiva that lies on the bank of Bagmati River. It evokes the mystical aura of the Hindu religion. It is constructed in pagoda style with gold plated roofs and engraved silver doors. Though the temple dates back to the 4th century it was modified and given the present shape in the early 18th century.
Boudha Stupa( Jyarung Khasyor)
It is possibly the world’s largest stupa with hundreds of prayer wheels and 108 images of Buddha glorifying the stupa. Interestingly, there are more than 40 monasteries around it. It is uniquely built in an octagonal mandala design. It subtlety exudes an air of Tibet.
Bhaktapur (Khopung)
Bhaktapur is the most well preserved medieval towns among all the others. You can see the magnificent monuments like the 55 windows palace, the Golden Gate and the Taleju. The 15th century Dattatreya temple and the peacock window are sights not to be missed.
